Our Services

Please understand that we are not a wildlife rescue or care organisation. We do work closely with our local wildlife carers, and they are the best contacts for wildlife rescue and emergencies.

For new customers, we start the removal process with a site inspection. We’ll identify the offending animal, identify access points and devise a removal solution for you. You will receive a detailed photographic report identifying all access points, entry points and factors contributing to the issue. A quote will also be provided for any rectification work required and removal of the offending animals.

For larger works we may have our trusted local contractors attend to quote the work required.

After carrying out your inspection, we are also happy to provide advice if you would prefer to carry out the work yourself. A DIY approach can suit somebody that has general handyman-type skills, basic power tool knowledge and good attention to detail. Ladder work will often be required.

Possum/Rodent exclusion and entry point repairs.

Exclusion involves sealing any and all access points to prevent entry into your home, and fitment of one-way doors to allow the animals a way out of the sealed space. Exclusion and fitment of one-way doors is the preferred solution of NT Parks and animal welfare organisations This is a stress free way for the animal to naturally seek shelter in it’s own familiar territory. The installation of possum boxes and other habitat will mean everyone can live in harmony.

This can be a simple process with a fast solution, or can be more involved and require building modifications where we call in our trusted partners. The process can also require trimming back of overhanging trees and fixing excluders to other attachments to deny access to the building. All exclusion work comes with a 12 month workmanship guarantee. If they return, so do we.

Nesting Box Supply and Installation

We can supply possum nesting boxes as a flatpack for easy assembly, assembled for you to install, or fully assembled and installed on your property. No order too big or small, we can install 1 or 100!

Possum nesting boxes should be installed 3-4m above the ground, in a solid and well established tree. The tree should have a good leafy canopy (evergreen trees are best) and established branches for the possums to climb. Palm trees are not ideal for installing nesting boxes. If no suitable trees are available on your property, posts can be installed which the nesting boxes can be attached too.

We have 3 great options available.

Flatpack – $85 (Great weekend project with the kids!)

Assembled – $110

Installed – $POA

Flatpack and assembled nesting boxes can be collected from our office in Yarrawonga, or we can arrange delivery to the greater Darwin area 🚛

Our Possum Nesting Boxes are made from sturdy 18mm marine ply to survive in the elements and have all the features possum will love to make them their new homes.

Flatpack kits come with screws and are pre-drilled so you only need a screwdriver to assemble.

No order too big or too small; Buy one for your backyard or 100 for your commercial property.

Possum/Native trapping and removal

All trapped possums are treated with care and handling is done in accordance with the conditions of our permit and as recommended by wildlife carers and vets.

Possum removal by trapping can be used to compliment works done to block possum entry points. Often the most practical way of extracting possums from your roof cavity/building is to seal all the entry points and trap the remaining possums to remove them. After assessment, we will select the type of trap, number of traps and appropriate bait required for the species. After deployment of the traps, we monitor the traps remotely with motion activated cameras, and attend ASAP to remove the trapped possums.

Once removed from the building, all possums go back to our holding room. The possums kept in a cool, dark and stress-free environment until dusk. If any animals are showing signs of injury or illness, they’re taken immediately to the nearest vet for assessment. On dusk we take them to the designated release area as close as practical to the capture zone and release them.

It’s important to remember that wild animals can’t be told to go into a cage. While all efforts are made, occasionally trapping programs do not achieve the desired result. Removal and relocation also does not stop reinfestation, and possums are known to travel great distances to get back to their preferred territory, and other possums from the area can move in if the entry points are not sealed.

Please note: We avoid trapping and relocating animals as much as possible, and only offer this service as a last resort when there are no other practical options to solve your possum problem. We offer permanent solutions to stop any future access into your building. If you are not willing to have entry points sealed to stop possum access, our services will likely not suit you. NT Parks permit regulations state that possums must be released no more than 150m from where they are captured.

Cat trapping and removal

Cat trapping and removal is generally very successful as cats are highly food driven. Once a cat is captured, it’s taken to a vet for microchip scanning and health checks. Ideally we’d like to see a cat reunited with it’s owner. If not, following the vet assessment they are put in the capable hands of our local rehoming organisations. Unfortunately though, after removal some cats have been living wild for too long and can not be domesticated. We love to support our local community and organisations, so we pay for the initial care and rehoming costs for the animals we deliver to non-profit organisations.

Pest rodent solutions

Pest rats can do a lot of damage to buildings and homes. They can also spread bacteria and disease through urine and droppings. We’ve seen them damage electrical cables, fibre optic cables, walls, floors doors and ceilings. Commercially they destroy and contaminate stock worth thousands and force the closure of businesses. The list goes on!

We’ll tailor a solution to you, which may be exclusion, humane lethal trapping, baiting or live trapping and removal. It is illegal to release a pest species once captured, so we dispose of them using recognised humane techniques.

If you have a business and require a long term solution, we can provide everything from removal programs to motion sensor detection. We have 20 years in the pest management industry and are HACCP compliant in our treatments and services.
